Rowan-Salisbury School System - Southeast Middle School

A new middle school housing approximately 800 students. This facility layout included administrative offices flanking the main entry hall that led students to three classroom wings; each wing serving a different grade level, 6th through 8th grades. A fourth wing housed six large vocational classrooms that included Business Computers, Instrumental Music, Choral Music, Industrial Lab, Service Lab and Art. The Media Center was positioned in the heart of the facility with a dedicated media computer lab. The Gymnasium boasts a 42 foot by 70 foot sport court with an 800 square foot platform/stage. A large curved bulkhead adds drama to the Cafeteria that seats approximately 300 students. The Cafeteria is served by a large commercial kitchen including a 24 foot buffet serving line, staff offices, walk-in and dry food storage and loading dock. The Site Plan for the new facility included 8 tennis courts, a Football field, Running Track and 2 Baseball fields.
