FIRST WE LISTEN
Interviews, both formal and informal, with client representatives and user groups, allow us to gather information about program needs and constraints. We learn by listening.
THEN WE TRANSLATE
Technical terms are explained and expressed in simple terms. We develop a common language that identifies both the overall vision and the basic components of the client’s program statement.
WE CREATE SOLUTIONS
The “words” are converted to plans and drawings showing the size and relationship of all the program components. Multiple schemes are evaluated for strengths and weaknesses and presented to the client for review and comments. The best plan is selected for design development.
A successful design comes from carefully integrating both the creative and the practical to produce a superior solution. A successful construction process comes from the thorough and careful coordination of the multiple and varied construction documents and their related suppliers and contractors. Our job is to keep the participants of the construction “symphony” playing the same tune.
WE ACHIEVE RESULTS
Henry Ford once said, “People are not judged by what they plan to do, but by what they accomplish”. Creative, innovative solutions to complex program requirements and design problems accomplish nothing if the project cannot be built due to funding limitations. At RAMSAY, BURGIN, SMITH, ARCHITECTS, Inc. we have an enviable record of producing superior projects on time and within budget constraints.
