First Presbyterian Church

Salisbury, NC

Work for FPC actually began back in 1950 with RBSA’s founding father, John Ramsay, Sr., FAIA and his design of the 3-Story Sunday School / Education Building. Approximately 10 years later, Mr. Ramsay designed and oversaw construction of the new Sanctuary building that formally established this downtown city block as the Church Campus. In 1996, RBSA added a much-needed parking lot and Porte-Cochere to the Sanctuary. The most recent project for FPC consisted of the construction of a new Family Life Center, comprised of a large multi-purpose space/ sanctuary for contemporary worship, a commercial kitchen, new Day School facilities, Sunday School spaces, additional storage and an exterior covered walkway and rotunda. The project involved the physical attachment of the new Family Life Center to the existing Educational Building, plus a small amount of renovations to the existing Educational Building.
